How will life coaching work for you?
Coaching is all about you. Literally.
As your coach, my role is to push you to be better, but it’ll be your willingness that will determine the results.
Think of coaching as you would think of working with a personal trainer. Minus the sweat.
A personal trainer guides you and tailors a regime to your requirements and goals, but it’s you who does the heavy lifting. The more you put in, the faster and better the results.
Essentially, you have the answers, I ask the questions.
Life coaching can help you figure your shit out and be happier. Simple as that.
COMMON AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
“life could be better
something is missing
I can’t stick with anything
I don’t know where to start
my life is a mess
I’m stuck, send help.”
break bad habits
feel better about myself
achieve my goals
bonus: be a functioning adult
6-ISH FACTS ABOUT ME
“I'm mixed Chinese/Jamaican but born and raised in the UK. North London specifically.”
“Bangkok & London based, but previously did a 2-year stint in sweaty Singapore.”
“Yet to decide on my coaching 'niche' - one of the best parts of coaching for me is working with very different people.”
“I trained as a coach in 2016. Due to complete a Psych MSc end of this year. Before coaching, I'd worked in pretty random places; wine bar, primary schools, publishing co., and a real estate development & investment co. Told you, I like variety.”
“Having experienced psychotherapy and coaching myself as a client, I've found both to have been the best things I've done in my life. I mean at least top 5-ish. ”
“Just your average mixed raced, British, Cancerian, ex-pat, Slytherin, pansexual woman, who tries not to label or take themselves too seriously.”
WANT TO BE HAPPY?
Pretty much everyone wants to be happy.
We all have the tools to lead happier lives, but we’re also susceptible to self-sabotaging the fuck out of our own happiness.
When’s the last time you did something that really made you happy?
We love to consume [enter vice here] because we think it’ll make us happy, and it usually does, but it’s just a quick fix that doesn’t last and isn’t worth the comedown… Doing the same thing over and over again but hoping for different results? That’s literally insane.
Why are we great at helping others, but shit when it comes to ourselves?
Without boring you with the sciency-stuff, basically, it’s easier.
Think of life coaching as ‘upgrading’ yourself.
Change is hard. Coaching is not really about trying to change you. It’s more about working together to figure out what and how you can make improvements. Sounds pretty simple because it is. The hard part is seeing ourselves objectively, keeping up momentum, and holding ourselves accountable. That’s where I come in.
